On December 31, 2021, a now former employee of Wells Fargo e-mailed files containing private information from Well’s Fargo’s servers.  The files that were removed from Wells Fargo’s servers contained sensitive information, including their first and last names, mailing addresses, date of birth, email addresses, Social Security numbers, and other information.  On May of 2022 – over four months after the data breach occurred breach – Wells Fargo reported the unauthorized data breach to state Attorney General’s offices across the United States.

On October 11, 2022, Lebe Law filed a putative class action in the Northern District of California regarding this data breach.  A copy of the lawsuit can be found here.
